Here’s The Definitive List You Need to Know
Trust the team at ARCH orthodontics in Greater Boston to help you live comfortably and easily while you or your child is undergoing orthodontic treatment at any stage or age. We wanted to take a moment to remind you about some excellent tips and items you’ll want to make sure you take on your travels – especially since the holiday season is finally here.
Your ARCH orthodontist will recommend compiling a braces traveling kit with just a few things that might come in handy to keep your braces in tip top shape no matter where you’re headed:
- Travel-size toothbrush and non-whitening, mild toothpaste
- A container for water or folding cup
- Special dental floss for braces or regular floss
- A small interproximal dental brush
- Interdental picks
- Dental wax
- Pain reliever
- A small folding mirror
With the holiday celebrations, also come the a variety of food options that may not be compatible with your type of braces. Do your best to avoid problematic, sticky, or hard food that could possibly damage your braces. It’s just a great way to keep your braces free of debris and ward off any potential breakage or an unwanted orthodontic emergency.
If something does happen, don’t panic. There’s always a solution and your ARCH orthodontist will know exactly what to do to help get your braces back on track. If you have any questions or if something should happen, please never hesitate to call your local ARCH office or any of our nine orthodontic offices across Greater Boston and Cape Cod. We’ll take the time to assess your needs and, together, we can determine what the next steps are.
